Snow Melting Controls

HTS specializes in Snow Melting Applications and we have a complete line of controls to make sure your heated surfaces stay clear of snow and ice while not using any more electricity than absolutely necessary to do the job!  Please click on the item blow for more information:

APS-3C - Control Panel that accepts input from up to 6 snow/ice sensors and activates snow melting only when snow and ice are present and not based solely on temperature. Compatible sensors are CIT-1 and SIT-6E. The APS-3C does not have integral GFI monitoring and is designed for voltages of 120 VAC, 208VAC or  240VAC in single or three phase supply.

APS-4C - Control Panel that accepts input from up to 6 snow/ice sensors and activates snow melting only when snow and ice are present and not based solely on temperature. The APS-4C includes built-in GFI protection for circuits from 120V- 480V in both single and three phase applications. Compatible sensors are CIT-1 and SIT-6E.

CIT-1 - Aerial style sensor for detecting falling precipitation (snow, freezing rain, etc.) – requires APS Series control panel and is typically conduit mounted in an area most exposed to precipitation.

SIT-6E - Pavement/ Surface mounted snow/ice sensor for detecting falling precipitation or ice or snow that has formed or fallen on a surface. Typically mounted in cement or asphalt surfaces for snow and ice melting on sidewalks, pedestrian walkways, parking lots, exterior staircases, handicap ramps, etc.

F200 - 2 and 4-pole devices designed to protect against AC ground faults (AC type) and both AC and pulsating DC ground faults (A type).
